Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in Havana Cuba. Her family moved to Miami at 2 years old. Ana Polo Gonzalez was born in Havana Cuba and moved with her family to Miami when she was two. Ana Maria Polo, born in Habana Cuba and is currently an anchor for the well-known Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" that has been the only Spanish language show nominated to be awarded a Daytime Entertainment Emmy (r). Polo was first exposed to viewers on television in 2001 on Telemundo's program Sala de Parejas (2001) and other court shows in which her legal expertise was tapped. Literature Awards She wrote Los Hijos Muertos in 1958. The novel was awarded the Critic's Prize, and The Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute fled Spain to the United States 1960. Polo regularly speaks, and she helps raise money to support the campaign. Polo has been a vocal advocate for LGBT rights all of her life. She graduated in 1987 from law school at the University of Miami School of Law and is a Florida Bar member.
